Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. --------------------
Travelling. It leaves you speechless, Then turns you into a storyteller.

Colmar Sept 2024 WOW. What a surprise this town is. Beautiful place. Just like any other town it had the usual high street shops. Then we visited the area called little Venice. Any photographer's dream. Many colourful medieval houses, cobblestones streets, pedestrian bridges, and canals. My camera was on fire. What a charming place.
Some argue that Colmar is the most beautiful town in Europe. Fairy tale streets. Situated very close to the German border. Did you know it is the birthplace of sculptor Bartholdi, father of the famous Statue of Liberty in New York. In 1871, he travelled to USA to push for a huge statue. Which would be a gift from the French to the Americans in honour of the Centennial of Independence.
Medieval half-timbered buildings
We visited while based in Staufen,Germany. We saw a lot. Sadly, we only had time for a day trip.
Quai de la Poissonnerie,
Montagnes Noires
The old town is untouched by the passage of time. This small provincial French town is one of a kind and does not feel like anywhere else in the world.
Old Town
St Martin’s Church This church, which took 130 years to build, stands out from the small brightly coloured fairytale buildings due to its size and gothic architecture.
