When we were in Palma Nova we decided to go to Majorca's capital. Palma was a surprise I had visited the city 42 years ago but could not remember much. I went to their national stadium to watch Real Madrid play a preseason friendly.

'La Seu', as it's known among the locals, is a symbol of the city as well as of the island. It's also one of the most spectacular Gothic-style cathedrals in the world, with its impressive view of the sea and large rose window.

Paseo del Borne is very like Barcelona's Ramblas. Pedestrian only tree lined avenue. Buskers and marching band kept us entertained.
