The last few years has brought so many disappointments.Adventures,City breaks and holidays all cancelled.
Most of our trips have been to my homeland.Scotland has so much to offer but it would be great to go further a field.Every year we go through to Edinburgh to soak up the Christmas atmosphere.

Our day started with an easy bus journey through to the capital.
Edinburgh was looking very festive.After a bit of shop hopping we went to the Newsroom. Special Eatery on Leith street.Lunch was excellent.

After lunch we walked along Princess street and passed Walter Scott`s memorial to the German Christmas markets.Always worth a visit but  this year was a bit quieter and not as many huts.  

After the market we walked up the Royal Mile right to the castle.I enjoyed the views across the cityd.We wandered down the Mile and had our dinner in the Royal Mile Tavern.
​Haggis,Neeps and tatties were super and a few beers to compliment. 

Festive capital of Scotland.

Finally a trip to the dome on George street.They always make it special for Christmas.
