Glasgow October 2015
Another walk in my hometown. This time during Autumn. When the leafs are falling and the sun is shining. I started with a walk along the banks of the river Clyde.

The Clutha bar reopened after the horrendous helicopter crash. Wonderful Artwork on the walls of the bar.
On 29 November 2013, a police helicopter crashed into the Clutha Vaults.Sadly ten people died in the accident including the three members of the copter.
After the Clutha I walk through the gates of Glasgow Green. Great park any time of the year but a wee bit special in Autumn. Glasgow Green is the oldest of the city's parks.
Walking past the McLennan Arch. This monument used to be part of the Assembly RoomsThis the western entrance to the Green. I noticed the arch is dated MDCCCXCIII (1843) It was originally in Ingram Street in 1890. Since then, the arch has had two other resting places near Glasgow Green before it was moved here around 1990.
The first civic monument in Britain to commemorate Nelson's victories. Three years before Nelsons column in London.
Outside the Winter Gardens is the Doulton Fountain. Above is the Conservatory at the rear of the People's Palace.
The Cathedral has a regular and active congregation, and no visitor should leave the city without making a visit.
The house was built in 1471 as part of St Nicholas's Hospital by Andrew Muirhead, Bishop of Glasgow.
