Burano is situated 7 kilometres (4 miles) from Venice, a 40-minute trip by Venetian motorboats, "vaporetti"
Burano provides countless photo opportunities. There are many charming yards and squares where drying laundry adds to the general decorative gaiety of Burano. Along the lagoon shore you'll find superb views of neighbouring island Torcello (with, on a clear day, a mountainous backdrop) and smaller islands like San Francesco del Deserto .

While over in Venice for the Carnival we popped over to Burano.
We took the Vaporetti from St Marco. The journey was only one hour.Nice trip. Stopping at Punta Sabbani and Lido. Only short time a shore. Time to admire the colourful buildings and the lovely canals.Really clean and attractive town.
