Brown Bear is world's most common bear species
The bear season lasts from April or May to October when black and brown bears are out of hibernation.

Black bears are only aggressive when they are unable to avoid a bad situation.They are known to be less dangerous than other bears.It doesn't mean they wont attack.Keep your distance.

We found black bears in mountainous region near Jasper. We often saw them crossing the road.Sorry the pictures are not perfect but hopefully you get a feel for my bear experience.
