Portobello is now a suburb of Edinburgh. Once a popular beach resort.Three miles to the east of the city centre. Simple to get to by bus. Sandy beach on the Firth of Forth.

Last day of work till Christmas holidays.I wanted to go somewhere I had not been before.The weather was to be duff in the west so I decide to go east.I asked myself where shall I go that I`ve have not been before and not too far away.

After much thought I decided to go to Edinburgh. Portobelo in a fact. Nearest seaside resort.
I was not disappointed.Long sandy beach.Great place for the locals to walk their dogs.
Sunny day for December.Not cold at all.Portobelo has 2 miles of golden sandy beach and a Green Flag Award parks.
Beach-side cafes
During the Glasgow Fair holiday- thousands came to enjoy the sandy beach,amusements and entertainment.
