Greenside and Jaw Reservoir Dec 2023
What a wonderful way to spend a winter`s afternoon.
Left my house in Clydebank just after lunch. I was in two minds where to walk to. Last week I had walked along the canal to Bowling. The week before I had walked along Great Western road to Glasgow city centre. So, I decided to head for the local hills.

Last weekend we had our first fall of snow. Yesterday it was raining and sunny this morning. So the snow had almost gone.
Only the hills had a few patches.

Easy enough walk. I started with a stroll up Cochno road in the Hardgate area of Clydebank. Once I had passed the private houses, we arrive at the first farm. There is a gate here. Please Remember to close it.
The walk opens up to a dirt track with great views back to Glasgow. We follow the Cochna burn till we get to the Greenie.About twenty minutes.
The Greenside Reservoir is tucked away in the Kilpatrick Hills.

After a short while I take a few pictures. Weather was super for this time of the year. I decided to walk on further.I only had training shoes on. Which was not a smart move. Not much support for my ankles.
The path was getting steeper. A bit slippy. This was due to the heavy snow we had at the weekend. Hill after hill I finally get to see the Jaw reservoir. Super in the great weather.Great views over to Snow capped Ben Lomond and the Campsie`s.
I return the same route.
This was due to the path to the Jaw is always marshy.
Well this has been a great day. Walking on the hills. Not a person about.
After walking back into the town I stop in the Goldenhill bar for a quick refreshment.
Really enjoyed my day up the hills.
