Belgium never gets it`s fair share of visitors.
It`s a great country. Especially if you love food and drink.

We left Clydebank midnight. We were flying out of Newcastle airport.
Great atmosphere in the Airport bar even at this early hour. Lots of Hen parties. We left 6.00 bang on. Short flight. We arrived in Brussels bang on time. We took the local train to Brussels Central . From there we bar hopped till we got near our hotel. We took a Taxi to our Hotel .
We stayed at the Astrid Hotel which was very central. Good price through Hotel.com but more suited to Budget travellers.

Antwerp ison River Scheldt. In the centre there are thousands of diamond traders, cutters and polishers. Antwerp’s Flemish Renaissance architecture is typified by the Grote Markt, a central square in the old town. At the 17th-century Rubens House, period.
Day Three
We took the Open top bus site seeing tour . Which got you to see the city fast. I stopped of at the Atomium
Unavoidable icon of Brussels and Belgium, important place for international tourism, unique creation in the history of architecture and emblematic vestige of the World Fair in Brussels (Expo 58)

After the tour I went to see The Manneken Pis, a fountain containing a bronze sculpture of a urinating youth, is a tourist attraction and symbol of the city.
A train (€8,50) runs every 15 min from the airport (Level -1) to Brussels' three main stations taking 15-25 minutes, with most trains continuing to other parts of Belgium.
Grand' Place-Grote Markt, Brussels
Surrounded by the city tower and a range of beautiful 300 year old buildings. In the evening the square is lit up by bright illumination, it is simply ravishing. Some evenings a music and light show is provided with the buildings serving as a canvas. Have a "gaufre de Liège-Luikse wafel" here (Belgian waffle with caramelized sugar)—the best ones are available from the little shops off the northeast corner of the Grand Place-Grote Markt.
