Another rainy day in the Kingdom of Fife.
The local Media had wrote about the Strike-Warrior Navel exercises in the Firth of Forth .When we searched the internet we could not find any information on the event. On Friday night- The Royal Navy tweeted that the exercises were off the North coast of Scotland not in the Firth of Forth as newspapers had reported. We were disappointed but we decided to head to the Kingdom of Fife anyway.

We left Clydebank around 10.30.The weather was poor but we were looking forward to visiting the Kingdom of Fife again. There are so many wonderful seaside villages on the Fife coast. In the past we have enjoyed the Crail Food festival.Elie and Pittenween are worth a visit but St Andrews is the most famous. The home of golf.
We drove over the cool Queensferry crossing.Great views over to the Forth road bridge and the Forth Bridge[Rail bridge].
Due to the weather we decided to go straight to the seaside resort of Anstruther. We know it very well.Normally you don`t see it in such poor conditions. I booked ahead and got a table in the Boathouse. It is right at the harbour. Lovely place. The food was good and plenty of it.Sad to say it was soft drinks only due to Covid rules. We did have a drink in the beer garden.
Drinks were fine but it was too cold to stay for long.

We ran back to the car to beat the elements. We drove along the Fife Coast road.Watching the waves breach the harbour walls. Really wild.We stopped at North Queenferry to enjoy a close up view of the Forth Bridge.Amazing structure. Man-made wonder. Homeward bound. Some people may say we are crazy to travel this distance for Fish and chips but it was fun and we did have to eat lunch on our day off.
