Sorrento
Here`s our travel blog for our trip to the Naples area of Italy.
Our friend Gordon kindly gave us a lift through to Edinburgh airport
We flew Easyjet--- Edinburgh to Naples
When we arrived at Naples airport we took the bus to Sorrento. Which was our base for Italian week. This is probably the most economical method of transport. The main bus direct from the airport to Sorrento is operated by www.curreriviaggi.it
The bus leaves from outside the main terminal building. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes but this, of course, depends on traffic. The route from the airport out of the city is via the Autostrada before joining the main coastal road to Sorrento.
Tickets are currently 10 Euros. You buy your ticket on-board.
The arrival point in Sorrento is at the train station which is in the centre of town.
Stayed at Hotel Carlton
The Carlton is situated close to Piazza Tasso, Sedile Dominova, and Basilica di Sant'Antonio. 70€ at night .Booked through Hotel.com
