Taking the Ferry March 2025
When you turn up in Gourock you should have breakfast in the Continental. Excellent. Great views over the bay. After a wander about the town, we decided to take the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry over the Firth of Clyde to the town of Dunoon.

Crossing the Firth of Clyde with Ferry Alicat was a pleasure.
The Firth of Clyde is the estuary of the River Clyde, on Scotland's west coast of Scotland. The Firth has some of the deepest coastal waters of the British Isles.
The Firth of Clyde stretches from the Irish Sea to the North Atlantic Ocean.
The Dunoon has been closed for my years. A bit of an eyesore.
Back on the dry land. Time to take train to Glasgow.
