I had the pleasure of seeing so many of famous stars there from The Who, The Eagles,Deep Purple even Pink Floyd. Our tour guide told so many great stories. We all agreed that Status Quo concerts were special.
Across the road is the Pavilion. One of the oldest theaters in Scotland.
It opened it`s doors in 1904. In 1920 the Pavilion started producing pantomimes. To this day it is still entertaining children of all ages. Our tour guide told us great stories about the theater.

In this blog I am not going to tell you all about Glasgows great music background. That is up to Glasgow Music City Tours.
Next was - The Royal Conservatoire. Here it got a bit too heavy for me.
Then we walked along Renfrew Street to the famous GFT - stopping briefly
to mention some facts.

Futher along we talk about sad state of the famous Art School. Now on to Sauchiehall Street.
Our guide missed the Amphora. It was a great rock bar. In his defense he was a bit younger than me. We have break time at Nice N Sleazy.Chance to stop for a pint, give our feet a break and move back to modern times.
After a short stop we take a short walked up to King Tuts on St Vincent street. In the seventies we had some great nights there. It was called the Saints and Sinners back there.
What a rock history this bar has.Simple Minds,Oasis and Killers have all played King Tuts. I will be writing a different blog on this bar.
We now have bigger venues but the atmosphere will never beat the Apollo.
Thank you Glasgow Music City Tours A great way to spend a Saturday Afternoon.
