Amakhala Cheetah Relocation Project
Sad to say there is only around 6000 – 7000 adult cheetah still alive in the wild today, with less than 2000 cheetahs in South Africa.Due to the tragic loss of 90% of the cheetah's original habitat due to human encroachment.
We had the pleasure of seeing the last day of a pair of Cheetahs in Amakhala before relocation. Amakhala sends Cheetahs around Africa to help increase
the population. This forward thinking project has been very successful.
