Staufen
This town was our base for our Black Forest trip in September 2024.
I had no knowledge at all about Staufen. So, it was a pleasure exploring somewhere new. My brother-in-law Alan had picked the town. We missed out on a trip to Black Forest due to Covid. We had waited a while, but it was worth it.

We had great digs. Very good digs.
We had a nice walk up to see the ruins of the castle.
Town hall
We walked beside vineyards right up to the Castle. Took about 30 minutes. There are only ruins left but they still stand proud over the town. The view is super and you can pick out landmarks below.

It's a quaint old village with many beautiful buildings.
Our base was Staufen. Great place to eat and sleep.
