We used Utrecht as a base when we could not get reasonably price hotel in Amsterdam.I never got much time to explore but as you can see it has the cool canals that most dutch cities have.

The city is built around the tall Dom tower. It is visible from most of the city.Helps you find your way about.It hasa car-free city centre.
