Next night in Niederdorf. Next we drived through the Dolomites to Dorf Tirol for 3 nights. Where visited Meran and Seiser Alm. Really enjoyed walking Up in the mountains there. The Dolomites
After the snow melts, the mountain landscape morphs into lush green valley pastures and thick forests dotted with remote mountain huts and isolated villages, all set against a backdrop of the sharp rock formations of the Dolomites.
Mountain biking, trekking or climbing are the ideal ways to explore the countryside and there are a wide range of routes to suit people of all abilities and plenty of mountain restaurants to stop at for long leisurely lunches. Stay in quintessentially Italian rifugios, and get between them along trails, ladders and metal steps fixed into the rock faces that allow the non-climbers to experience some of the thrill of mountaineers in a much safer environment.

Hallstatt
Italian and German are the two languages predominantly spoken. When WWI ended, South Tyrol and Trentino were part of Austria, which explains why 75 percent of the region's population speaks German as their first language.
Since the Dolomites straddle the border between Austria and Italy, they were the location of some of the most ferocious battles of World War 1.
Below are some images to give you a taster of our adventure.

Time has passed. We still get the buzz of talking about our trip to the Dolomite's. Absolutely stunning. Hopefully we are going to return April 2021. Virus permitting. Fingers crossed
Sadly the Virus got worse and our travels were restricted to Scotland.
