Apex Glasgow

The grand opening of the Apex hotel on Bath street. I have been to the Apex in Edinburgh so I had a rough idea what it would be like. When I heard the company had bought the Mark’s Hotel I thought to myself this can only be  good for our city. Show`s that Glasgow`s tourism is going from strength to strength.

Rennie`s hiding

I had the pleasure of going along to George Square to see the hotel`s promotional event.
As you might have guessed Apex have their own special mascot.

An extensive refurbishment took place. They had to upgrade and completely revamp the hotel into a stylish modern place to stay. Some of the rooms have views right over the city.

The event was special. So many charming people.There was an ice duck where you could get a cocktail from it`s behind.There was candy floss,Violin quartet,fab food,drinks and a speech to officially open the Apex. Really good night.

Clever promotional project 
At Apex they put a duck in your bathroom -  You can collect a different coloured duck at all the hotels around the country. Glasgow`s cute duck is named--  Rennie and is purple. Named after the famous Glasgow designer Charles Rennie Macintosh. A lot of his work can be seen  not far from the hotel.

Everyone enjoyed the great views over the city. Sorry to see them you will need to book one of Apex`s cool rooms. 

Met some fun loving people at the opening and I think everyone enjoyed them self.
