Video Blogging
For many years I have been filming my family and our holidays. Hours and hours of footage. I remember coming home from a trip to Orlando with nine hours of video tape. My camcorder was exhausted. Some of the footage was rubbish but it was our family memories. We used to sit round the TV laughing at our antics.
When the video recorder died. The world changed. All of a sudden - camera`s are designed with a video feature. More and more travellers/holidaymakers are becomimg movie makers. The quality gets better as time goes by. At first people thought the longer the film the more people would enjoy it. In this modern world people don`t have the time to spend ages going through your whole holiday. You have to make it sharp.
Straight to the point. I learned a lot watching films from guys like 29 studios, Visit Scotland and the German Vblogger Sebastian Canaves. Sebastion was a blogger with me at Stonehaven Hogmanay two years ago. Clever guy.

I enjoy making videos while on my travels, about a one minute film showing the highlights. Normally I take about 20 mins and edit it down. I usually add music. Find it hard to combine words and music together. Need to try harder.

I upload all my video`s to You Tube. This is the second most popular search engine. I have over 500 films there and have 142 subscribers - plus 370,000 views.
My videos are my guide to our planet. More a fun look at the world. Anyone can take films like mine. I am sure Spielberg would want be to scared for his job. Anyway - if they help travellers plan their trips I'm happy.
