Good bye to the Carbeth inn.
It`s a very sad day.The famous Carbeth has called time for the last time. It has been open for over 200 years.The locals are really pissed off.They heard the news on Facebook.
The inn is owned Greene King --He said sometimes we have to make the difficult decision to sell pubs.
The end of a era. They have put the business up for sale.
I found out last Sunday when we noticed the metal sheets over the doors.
It was a great meeting places for bikers, hillwalkers
and the Carbeth Hutters.
Carbeth had unique atmosphere.Great crowd and the food was no bad.
We loved to stop for a break after a day trip to Loch Lomond. Sit outside and enjoy a wee drink in the sunshine.Going to be sad everytime we pass.

The Carbeth has been taken over by St Mocha Coffee Shop & Ice Cream Parlour
The land around has been converted into houses.There is also a new drive thro Coffee parlour. Looks cool but never used it. It is owned by the same company that owns the Oaktree Balmaha..
