Vintgar Gorge
Now this was a special day during our Slovenia to Switzerland train adventure.
Jakob Žumer discovered the gorge in 1893. Vintgar Gorge is a 1.6 km (about a mile) canyon formed by Radovna River inside Triglav National Park. it’s Slovenia’s first mountain gorge opened to the public.

You have to walk along a wooden path which takes you back and forward across the Radovna river.There are rapids and waterfalls.
