San Francisco`s famous Golden Gate bridge
What a wonderful walk. It’s a takes a wee while but it`s worth it.The length of the walk is between 3 and 4 miles (5 to 6.5 km) depending on how much you alter course to the edge of the Bay to see the striking views.
We left from the San Fran side of the Golden Gate and walked to the Sausalito Ferry Terminal. From the pier in Sausalito we took the ferry back to Embarcadero at Market St in downtown San Francisco. A circular walk.

Sausalito is a San Francisco Bay Area city in Marin County, California. Sausalito has a population of 7,061. The majority of homes are situated near the northern end of the Golden Gate Bridge, and prior to the building of that bridge served as a terminus for rail, car, and ferry traffic.
