The Forth bridge - My favourite rail bridge in the world. Stunning. Seen it so many times but never actually took the train over it. Today I sorted that out. I got the train from Edinburgh to North Queensferry. After Dalmeny you start crossing the Forth. Great views over to the Forth Road bridge and Queensferry Crossing. My train`s final destination was Glenrothes but check the timetable. It`s north Queensferry you want. There you can walk down to the pier where you can get amazing views of the three bridges.

The bridge is a cantilever rail bridge. Completed in 1890, it is considered a symbol of Scotland (having been voted Scotland's greatest man-made wonder in 2016).
