Cardonald Mural Trail.
Well I had heard all about Glasgow's new Still Game Mural. Good reports and bad reports. Some love it. Great way to brighten up dull gable ends of a tenement buildings. Others feel its an eye soar and Isa looks like she is just back from a fortnight in Turkey.
Today I decided to go and see for myself. Short subway trip to Ibrox.
Then a walk along Paisley Road West, past Bellahouston park to Cardonald.

When I walked on a bit I saw my first view of the Cardonald wall art.

Round the corner, next to the Parkway pub was the reason for coming over to the southside. Jack and Victor as well as Isa, shopkeeper Navid and Boabby the bar man. Standing proud. The Still Game Mural.
Well I love it. Glasgow has so many magnificent paintings. Brightening up dull old buildings. I would like to add the Still game painting to one of the list. The funny tv programme has so many great characters. They are all up there for you to see.

The third Mural is of Winnie Drinkwater. She became the youngest aircraft pilot in Scotland age 17. In 1932, at the age of 19, she became the first woman in the world to earn a commercial pilot's license.
Hope you can take the time to have a look for yourself.
I have a webpage on my website for the rest of Glasgow's wall art.
