A939 Road trip
This one of my favourite journeys in Scotland.
Most people take the A9 when travelling north to Inverness or any of the towns near the Moray Firth. It`s fine with tons to see and enjoy but we prefer to take the slower A939.It`s slower but the scenery is amazing. Last year[2016] we took it on our weekends away in Nairn,Fraserburgh and Lossiemouth.

This mountain road is 59.6 miles (95.9 km) long. It was built after the Jacobite rising of 1745
Miles of stunning views through twisty hairpin corners.
The A939 'Lecht Road' connects the A96 at Nairn on the Moray Coast with the A95 Grantown on Spey, then it continues to the A93 at Ballater by way of the Grampian Mountains, running for a total of nearly 60 miles. For much of its route, it follows the line of the Old Military Road.
As you can see from the images the A393 is a wonderful road trip.Great way to the Northern towns.
