Another Saturday--Another trip out.
This time we went on a drive to Loch Lomond. Balmaha is one of our favourite places. The journey is not that long but very scenic. We are lucky to stay in Clydebank. Which is west of Glasgow. That gives us the advantage of getting to the Loch and Glens much easier.
It only takes us 40 mins to get to Balmaha. The drive along the Stockiemuir road is special. We have passed through it many times. Every time we discus if we can see Ben Lomond. If we can see the Ben it`s going to be a good day.
Today we park in the village and walk to the village pub.
Lunch in the Oaktree is always a highlight.
It`s Christmas time and the Oaktree goes festive.
They always decorate it beautifully. We shared a foot diameter pizza. Super.
After lunch we walk the Bonnie banks to Milarrochy Bay.
One of our favourite ground level walks. This time of the year
there are only a few walkers which makes it more pleasant.
You always see interesting things on route. Fresh air and great scenery whats not like.
It s only a few miles walk but so much to enjoy.
Wrap up well great time to see our wonderful country.
