Tickled Trout
Bearsden to Strathblane May 2017
Another lunch time road trip.
Mrs B received her new car during the week. So we had to give it a drive out.
We left at noon. We couldn't drive that far as it was lunch time. We decided to go to the Tickled Trout.
Country pub--Boclair Road Bearsden. Food WAS fab. It`s the sister pub of the Stables not too far away. [Kirkintilloch]
After our meal Mrs B took a wander round Dobbies Garden centre.Which is just behind the trout. I stayed and had another pint of Guinness.
Time to go. We jump in the car and head north as far as the Auchenhowie road A807. Here we drive for a short while till we reach a crossroad. Here we turned right on to Strathblane Road. We stopped at the Kirkhouse inn for a couple of drinks. Weather was poor all over Scotland so happy to get it dry for a short while.
Strathblane is at the foot of the Campsies.
