Absolute no idea what this island would be like.How pleased we were. It`s a magical place. We enjoyed our short stay. Some of the beaches were stunning. I loved the natural side.

Day 1 Oct 2018
Easy flight on Easyjet --Just over 1hr15mins
We picked up our hired car at the airport.
Not long till we are at our base in St Hellier.

Spot of lunch required. We walk to the town centre. We pick Pearson bar. Just off the main street. Sandwiches and a couple of beers.Perfect
Great hotel-Well worth a stay. Got everything required for a comfortable place to stay.
We never had the time to enjoy all the facility's. The entertainment was good.

At night we walk the full length of Aubin`s bay to the town of StAubin. Good walk and ton`s of fresh air.Head back into town for a Pizza.
Day 2
First stop was the War Tunnels-History of the islanders time during the Second World War.
A must for anyone visiting the island.

After the War Tunnels, we head east to the coast. What a surprise La Rocque was. The start of many cool beaches.
Gorey is about 8 miles from St Helier. Not far along the road. A nice wee town with tons of places to eat and drink.Just at the seafront.
It was low tide so we could see the oyster beds in Grouville Bay .

We drive up the coast to St. Catherine.
Another pier equals another walk. Stop for ice cream. You must visit the sandcastle wizard. The castle above was being built by Simon Smith.
In 2003 he was named World Masters People's Champion for creations he built out of sand in Venice.

At night we have dinner in a Scottish /Italian restaurant.Super meal and the drinks were not bad too.
Day 3
Every morning we would take a short stroll along to La Fregate for breakfast.Lot cheaper than the hotel.
First stop today was the town centre.
St. Helier’s has pedestrianised streets. Tons of shops and a Victorian Central Market. The place for Local producers and growers.

We are on the road again.Country roads with max speed of 20mph.Easy walk down a pathway leads you to the Devils Hole.

Today has been about the sea. Rough, wild and beautiful.
First up was the sandy beach at Plemont Bay.
The waves coming in and out break the silence. Beach to walk along and enjoy the sunshine.

We enjoyed lunch at the Plemont Bay Café, a locally-run beach café.
Now we drive west to the place I have heard so much about. La Corbière lighthouse. The wildside of Jersey.Love it.
The name means "a place where crows gather", deriving from the word corbîn meaning crow. Never saw a crow all day.
Home to St. Helier
Day 3
After breakfast we walked across causeway out to Elizabeth Castle.Great views. We pack up and hit the road to the Airport.

We have really enjoyed our time in Jersey.
