Jaw to the Greenside
Another lockdown walk.Keeping within the rules.Staying within Dunbartonshire. We left home around 11.00 .Walked through Duntocher to Hardgate. Here we walked up Cochno road. Don`t take the turn-off for the Greenside. Walk on through the estate till you see the sign for the Jaw. It says it s a mile but found it longer.Maybe the hill make it feel longer.
The sun is out so a perfect day for a hike up our hills.

Cochno Farm
We have been venturing up the Kilpatrick hills since we moved to Clydebank. Really good exercise.Today we walked up to the Jaw reservoir and over the moors to the Greenside Reservoir.
On our way up to the Jaw we stopped to photograph the Grey Mares Tail Waterfall. Steady flow of water because of the recent winter weather.
Today`s views were super. Visibility was that good.We could see the snow capped mountains of the Trossachs.

Today`s route had many muddy spots.We had to think wisely or we could have mud over the top of our boots.Thankfully that never happened.A warning to everyone- you should always take proper footwear.
Even the Kilpatrick hills should be given respect.Always bring the right gear and let someone know where you are going.

Saying that- today`s walk was straight forward.Well trodden path.
Bit busy but not too busy.For a while there were only a few walkers.
Most people go up to just one reservoir.We like making a day of it.
Tons of fresh air. Really windy but rain didn`t stop play.
We had our lunch on the shores of the Greenside.
