1--- Bath street was the first street in Glasgow to have baths in it`s houses.
The water was plumbed down from a reservoir on Garnethill.

He was known as ‘The King’s Grocer’ and made his fortune mainly from tea and other enterprises.
8--- Stan Laurel was born in England but made started as comic in the world’s oldest surviving music hall, the Panopticon, in 1906. He made such a fine mess of it that the audience loved his failure. He made success as one half of Laurel and Hardy.
The Panopticon has reopened. Trongate Glasgow.
9--- Sauchiehall street gets it`s name from a kind of tree--The sauchie haugh or willow meadow.
10-- Did you know Glasgow Subway [Underground] Is the third oldest in the world.
