Loch Katrine August 2020
Well it`s Saturday again. After all the rain we had during the week It was a great surprise to wake up to blue skies. We left Clydebank around 11. We decided we needed a walk. After much discussion we decided to head to Loch Katrine. Another one of our favourite walks.

The route we took from Clydebank was>>>>
Along the picturesque Stockiemuir road.Passed the Queen`s view .Through Drymen. Follow the A811 right to Aberfoyle. Then take the Dukes Pass up to Loch Katrine. Look out for the Three loch drive.Worth a half hour detour.

Just before the cut off for Loch Katrine you will see Ben Aan. One of my favourite hikes.
Today`s walk was a tranquil five-mile stroll along the northern shoreline. Great views over to Ben Venue.
Great photo opportunities.
You can also drive the south bank to Stronachlachar. Stunning views over to the Arrocher Mountain range. This route ends up in Inversnaid .On the banks of Loch Lomond.

We started at Trossachs Pier. Beware they charge you to park.So decide how long you want to be out. Today we walked about a hour out and an hour back.
It`s a straight forward walk.Along a one track road.Keep your eye opened for the odd car. Tons of cyclists. It`s really worth the effort. The views are brilliant. Mountains are all around you.
The further you walk the less people and the wilder it gets.
There`s an old pier where you can stop for a rest and admire your surroundings.Great spot to photograph Ben Venue.

Another great Scottish day out was finished in Aberfoyle for dinner.
