Alicante is one of those famous Spanish Holiday resorts. There are loads of sunny beaches. With sunworshippers all around. The city is located in the Iberian Peninsula, on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.

I only had a few hours to enjoy the sights of Alicante. Old town has loads of winding streets and historic buildings such as the Castillo de Santa Bárbara and the Castillo de San Fernando.

The Spaniards have dinner late (around 9 pm-10 pm) and going party late too. It is not unusual to meet your friends at 12 pm to then go to the clubs. But there is now a somewhat new tradition of going tardeo, which translates to “evening-ing” (makes more sense in Spanish).
