Entrance to Herbertstraße; red sign to the right of the gate reads "No entrance for juveniles under 18 years of age and women"I enjoyed the fun of a walk through the gate to the see the ladies of the night.

​​In the early 1960s, The Beatles (who had not yet become world-famous) played in several clubs around the Reeperbahn, including the Star-Club, Kaiserkeller, Top Ten (Reeperbahn 136) and Indra

Despite the images I have uploaded, it isn’t all sex and sleaze.There is a neighbourhood like any other city .People go about their everyday chores. You can spend time exploring the area`s  art and music scenes. 
People shop for fruit and fish at the local markets.

Have a walk through the area during the day.A different world.​

St Pauli has a particularly good Christmas Market.
​We visited Dec 2019 just before Covid hit the world.

 We returned June 2024 during the European Football Championship.
It was the base for the Dutch supporters. We had a fun afternoon enjoying a few beers and watching some football.
