Ayr daytrip 12th June 2021
A few weeks after the Corona Virus lock down.We are slowly getting rules relaxed. Foreign travel is banned but there is nothing to stop you travelling across the United Kingdom. New Delta strain is causing figures to climb but hopefully the vaccine programme will change that.

We started our day by travelling by train from Dalmuir to Glasgow central.
Then on to the seaside resort of Ayr .Easy journey-- with views across the Firth of Clyde.Always sit on the right hand side of the train.
Weather was dull but as the day went on it brightened up.
When we arrived in Ayr we walked down the High street to the Tam o Shanter inn.Time for lunch. Haggis ,neeps and tatties.Superb

The High street is very busy. The main feature is the Wallace Tower.
The present Wallace Tower was built in 1832 on the site of an earlier building of the same name.

After watching some European championship football we walk along the riverside to reach the seashore.Lovely night to have a walk along the beach. The tide was well out so never really got the sea breeze we all enjoy.
It has been another another great day in my beloved Scotland.
