We stopped after Glencoe on route to Oban.
Weather was not great but it had stopped raining.
As you can see the tide was out.

This picturesque castle is 25 miles north of Oban.
Castle Stalker –means the Hunter or the Falconer.

There was a castle on this site 1320.
1440 the Stewarts built the castle you see today.
The castle changed hands in 1620.
Clan Campbell. abandoned Stalker in about 1840,
1908 the castle was bought by Charles Stewart . In 1965 Stewart Allward was the new owner.He worked for ten years restoring it. As you see it now.
