Walking above Bridge of Orchy April 2022
The sun was out and we had our boots on.Ready to get out and enjoy the Scottish hillside.I have wrote so much about Bridge of Orchy. Love this area.
We crossed over the famous bridge and enjoyed a packed lunch on a bench right next to the river.We forgot cups so the coffee never left the flask.lol

After lunch we started our walk.An easy part of the West Highland Way.From the bridge you follow the sign.Open the gate into the forest.The steepest part of the walk is just after the tall trees.Look back-- the views of the village and the surrounding mountains are brilliant.
When you get to the top we look down on Loch Tulla and across to the Black Mount mountain range.Look out for the solo tree.
The path now descends right down to the Inveroran Hotel. Lovely place with friendly owners.While Hiking down the hill- the sole fell of my boots.So we had to walk the road along Loch Tulla and follow the river Orchy right back to the bridge.
It was a pain but the boots had lasted me for years.
We had parked at the Hotel.Homeward bound with a wee stop at the Ardlui hotel. Great day on the hills above Bridge of Orchy.
