First job was to take images of the local sites. Walked over London Bridge for some great views. Below is St Pauls then Tower of London followed by the Gherkin.
St. Paul's Cathedral
Christopher Wren designed this magnificent buiding. The cathedral was completed in 1710. Its dome is one of the world’s largest, measuring 111.3 metres high.

The Tower of London has been a tourist attraction since at least the Elizabethan times. The Crown Jewels have been on public display since 1669. Over 500,000 visit the castle every year.

- The reasons for the shape - at the bottom it tapers in creating more ground space and allowing a new public plaza to build whilst circular towers also create less downdrafts. Tapering at the top into the crown reduces wind resistance further.
- The only curved piece of glass on the entire building is the very top piece that crowns it.
Some people think that Jack the Ripper hid down in the pub's cellar using the cellar chute on Vine Street.
We walk to Aldgate East Tube station
1888 Jack the Ripper murdered 5 women in the Aldgate and Whitechapel area of London’s East End.
We had a beer in the TheTen Bells. This is where two victims of Jack the Ripper drank. The bar was first open since 1752 and it still has quite a bit of that old Victorian charm.
Mad rush.
As I was telling you we got the flights for a tenner .Was not happy at all when the train broke down on way back to the Airport. Messed about for a hour .Then the line was clear . It would cost us a fortune if we had not made it. My friend Gordon was with me .When we got to Airport .We were told the flight was closing. My friend has problems walking. So I pushed him into a wheelchair and belted it through Stansted . I was Nigel Mancel on drugs. People thought it was funny but we had a plane to catch, We made it.
