Saturday is our day for going for lunch.We have our favourites.
Oaktree Balmaha-Ardencaple Helensburgh or the George in Inveraray. Too many to mention but today we found another special place.

We could have gone to Killin to the Falls of Dochart inn or to the Four seasons in St Fillins but we looked for somewhere new.

After a bit of map searching we came up with the Monachyle Mhor.

.We were not disappointed. A lovely hotel in the Trossachs area of Scotland.
It takes about two hours drive from Glasgow`s city centre. Head for Lochearnhead but turn off before you reach the village.
You will see the sign for Balquhidder on your right.
Take the under pass and head west.You have to drive down a four-mile single track road. Then you are at the hotel.

The minute you arrive you feel special.We were only there for lunch but we were well looked after. Old building with five star standards.
I had the trout.Which was perfect followed by Ice cream.
Mrs B had roast beef followed carrot cake.

We had the pleasure of being attended to by a fellow traveller.
She was born in Berlin but lived in Australia and New Zealand. Great learning about our future trip down under.

After lunch we had a wander around the grounds.Very picturesque setting.
Bit of a dull day but at least the rain stayed away.Enjoyable trip home with a slight detour to Aberfoyle for a couple of drinks.
