Now-- this is different. Very short journey between five villages on the Italian coastline. The pictures don`t do the area justice. When we have been there the weather has not been too good but still enjoyed the experience. To call it one of the Great Rail Journey of the World is a bit

Riomaggiore
The Cinque Terre trains connect six stops: La Spezia is the gateway-- the main transport hub for the area. The “official” Cinque Terre towns are Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso.
Manarola
From Riomaggiore to La Spezia it takes around10 minutes.5 minutes between the actual Cinque Terre towns

Vernazza's scenic train station is located directly above the village and can be reached on foot in about five minutes.

The Monterosso train station is the largest in Cinque Terre.
Corniglia
From the train station the village of Corniglia can be reached by stairs in fact 377 steps. There is a bus if the steps too much for you.
