It was raining in Clydebank but we decide to go along the road to
Dunbarton. Spend Just a wee while in Levengrove park. The park is named after the river Leven.Which runs through the town centre.

After a while the weather changed, and the sun came out. We wandered through the park to the river Clyde.
There we walked along the banks. It's a nice stroll with views to match. Plenty of birds to admire.Great seeing the swans in Flight.

On the way back we walk through the park again .A well-kept flower garden. A real good place to visit. Autumn colours helped.
Dunbarton gets a bad rep but it has a lot to offer. The Castle is well worth a visit. There are plenty places to eat in the main street.
As I said the river footpath and park are excellant.

Another day in lock down. Another Saturday looking for a day out not too far from home. Well today we travelled along the banks of the river Clyde to the small town of Dumbarton.

Dumbarton Rock
The town was once the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Strathclyde.
There is a impressive castle perched up on a volcanic rock. Known as may have guessed the Dumbarton Rock.

We crossed the river Leven to get to the pretty Levengrove park.

Done the walk along the banks of the River Clyde this morning.
Through the Levengrove.
Here you can walk for miles a long a straight path. Loved watching the sea birds searching dinner.
