Rannoch Station Tea room
I had been before but the Tearoom was shut. So when I was staying in Tummel Valley I had to return. Our trip took about a hour to Rannoch station. So it would take around 90 minutes from Pitlochry. It s worth the journey. Scenery is special and if your lucky you can see the local wildlife.

We drove along B846 to Kinloch. Biggest village you will see on your route. We stopped here to take in the view up Loch Rannoch. Here we went right along the banks of the loch. Next place up was Bridge of Gaur. Then we followed the River Gaur to the Reservoir. After there it`s straight to the station.
The Tearoom is right on the platform of this remote station on the West Highland Line.
While we were there we enjoyed the soup with crusty bread.Followed by coffee and cake. I `m no culinary expert but it was very tasty to me. Very good.
The owner of the cafe explained how to make the soup.

You may meet up with Cockalucky. The tearoom`s best customer. The owners have to constantly supply home made scones to the local pheasant. We saw it looking over the rails.
