Solheimajokull
Five miles long and just over a mile wide this glacier is spectacular. I found it hard to photograph. The images came out like an artist`s sketch. In the summer there will be greens and browns but in winter there is white snow or black rock.

We visited during our Southern coast tour. We took in Skogafoss and Seljalandfoss waterfalls too. Solheimajokull is situated laying just off the Ring Road that encircles Iceland.
You start from the carpark and walk along a good path. Easywalk.
You can see the glacier almost immediately but the nearer you get more spectacular it gets. jokull means Glacier in Icelandic. I really enjoyed the experience.
As I was talking about earlier my photo`s not perfect.
The icebergs are sky blue but the ice is grey.

Sorry the photography is not perfect. Strange colours. Black and white wiith a tinge of ice blue.
