Ardgarten

Campbelltown Day trip 2010---
​Left Clydebank 8.00. It was going to be a long day. These kind of trips should be done over a weekend to enjoy the landscape and local attractions. 
We drove along the road on the west bank of Loch Lomond as far as Tarbet.Straight on to Arrochar.Round the shores of Loch Long to Ardgartan.Steep drive up to the Rest and be thankful. We stopped here to take in the view.  

Rest and be thankful..

On to Inveraray.Stop again for a few minutes to have a look round.The weather was not perfect.
The lovely fishing port of Tarbert was next.Very picturesque. My driver was GB and he had never been here before.So we have another stop.    

Inveraray

Tarbert is on the Kintyre peninsula.Pass through Lochgilphead. We are now driving south down Kintyre.
On to our destination.Campbelltown. Lovely drive.So much to see and photograph.
We stop at the beautiful beaches on the way home. 
Machrihanish famous for its white sandy beaches.
​Sad to say we have to take same route home.
