The Blue Plaque Challenge 2025
​Exercise and knowledge.
This year I am going to search for the 96 Blue Plaques in Glasgow.
These historical markers are attached to walls in the city to commemorate
​a famous person, event or site of interest.
From the Gallery of Art to the Police Museum. William Burell to Charles Rennie Mackintosh. It going to help my knowledge for my Tours by Locals walks. Get my steps up too.

To be awarded a national blue plaque, the person being nominated must have died at least 20 years ago. Your nominated candidate could be a household name or less well-known, but must have made a significant contribution to human welfare or happiness.

Every week I go out and search for Glasgow's Historical Signs.
Exercise and knowledge for my Tours by locals Walks.
Today was a challenge. So many signs missing. Searching up and down streets. Buildings knocked down. I will add other historical places to replace missing plaques.
23000steps and nine Plaques today. Not a great day.
