Buchanan Street is a world class shopping street in Glasgow`s city centre. The street is named after Andrew Buchanan. He made his money during the Tobacco era. He owned the land the street is 1777.
The street was pedestrianised in 1978. Very clever move.I love walking from South to north. Especially at night when you can hear buskers singing famous songs.

Donald stands proudly at the top of Buchanan street. He was the advocate of Scottish devolution. Dewar first entered politics in the 1960s, and was elected as a Labour Member of Parliament for Aberdeen South.
