Yesterday we had another great day out in the Scottish port of Oban. Known as the Gateway to the Islands. Cal Mac run ferries out of here to many far off Islands. We always enjoy spending time in Oban.
The bus turned at 0849.Bang on time.
We have the fortune of having the bus stop just along from us.

It took about 2.15. The driver on the city link bus was a character. Even stopped on a bridge to let Mrs B take a photo of Inveraray castle. I have written a lot about the journey on other blogs. So will I talk more about the town.
Our first stop was The Corryvreckan bar. Which is on Railway pier. I love the Scottish Breakfast in there. Washed down with a couple of pints John Smiths. Very healthy. Good prices here.

After food, we decide to walk to Ganavan. Not many visitors venture out this far. It`s an easy walk. You walk through the town. Passed St Columba's Cathedral and onto Oban War Memorial. Great views from here.Over to the island of Mull. In the distance, you can see Lismore lighthouse.
Next up is Dunollie Museum, Castle and Grounds. Which is closed for winter. After a short walk, we arrive at Ganavan.
We spend time on the sandy beach. Nice wee village.
Weather was good for this time of the year.
