First you must have a hearty breakfast.Cause you will be walking.Lot`s of Walking.
Let s start in the east, walk west and back to the centre of the city,Hope your camera is charged. Youre going to take tons of images.

Great place to start youre day out in Glasgow.
The Cathedral is on Castle Street,Ten minute walk from the city centre. This church was built 13th and 15th century. Luckily survived the Reformation.
The patron saint of Glasgow is St Mungo. He is entombed here. Next to the Cathedral is the Necropolis.
Well worth a walk through. Even if it is just for great views over the city.

Walk from Necropolis past the oldest house in Glasgow. Down High street to Salt Market. Then the Trongate. Merchant City Clock Tower is worth a photo or two.
You are now on Argyll street.Lots of shops not much else.
Turn left.Your are now in the Merchant city.This is the cool part of the city. Started 1750s onwards. Residences and warehouses of the wealthy merchants who made their money importing tobacco. Known as the-tobacco lords.Look out the statue of the Duke of wellington statue with it s new hat.Modern day logo of Glasgow.

The famous George Square is in this area.Well worth a few photographs.Walk passed the Queen street train station on to the vibrant Buchanan street. Top street in the area.You will be ready for a coffee now.Rest your feet. Top of Buchanan there are plenty of choice.
Donald Dewar was a politician. First Minister of Scotland and an advocate of Scottish devolution.
Behind him is the Buchanan street shopping centre.

Getting hungry.Tons of places to eat. I am a fan of the Griffin. Slightly off our route. Across from the Kings theatre.
Walk further along Sauchiehall street we come to Charing cross.
Cross the road to the water fountain.You will notice it leans over a bit to the side. Now we are in the Park Circus area.

Take a lovely stroll through the Park district. Old Georgian buildings designed by Charles Wilson in the 1850’s. One of the Town houses has a mosaic depicting the badge of the Scottish Football team.It was their headquarters.
Walk along to the Granite staircase. Walk up the stairs.Turn left and head towards the gates of Kelvingrove park. Take a stroll through the leafy park.
Glasgow`s top park. Great in any season.Where the locals walk and play.
Walk through the park.Across the bridge over the river Kelvin.Pass the statue of Lord Kelvin. You are now at a busy road[Kelvin Way].
Walk across and enter the second part of the park.

The University of Glasgow was founded in 1451. Fourth-oldest university in the English-speaking world.
After a short walk you come to the highlight of any visit to Glasgow. Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery.
It opened to the public on 1901.Has been a firm favourite with locals and tourists too.

Now for the wee bit more difficult part of our day.
After the Kelvingrove you have to walk to the banks of the river Clyde.Cross the road from the main entrance to the museum.Walk along Regent Moray street.Keep walking forward.Past two bars. Luxury flats are in front of you. Walk down and and turn right and walk on passed the Fire station. Next bridge opening you can walk over to the river.

First up is the famous Armadillo building. Real name is the Clyde Auditorium,Part of the entertainment hub of Glasgow. The Hydro and SSEC are here.
Hydro is a great Arena for entertainment.All the top stars want to play the Hydro.

Another gem. Architect Zaha Hadid’s new Riverside Museum,You may have to save the Riverside for the next day.Bit of a walk out of the route.
If you like you can cross over the Bells Bridge to visit the Science centre and Glasgow tower.
Great for taking photographs of the city.

Hopefully the sun is shinning. You pass the Squinty bridge. Under the Kingston bridge and passed the Renfrew Ferry.
