Snow was falling at home and the temperature was below freeeeezing point. No better time to fly off to the sun. Tenerife was perfect.
This time we stayed in Santa Cruz. The capital
What a surprise it was. Great city with tons to see and photograph. We stayed at the Taberiente hotel. Which was super.
Great breakfast. Beer was not that great but didn`t spoil the experience.

First thing we did was walk along to see the stunning Auditorio de Tenerife. Easy walk along the promenade. The great weather helped. Have a look at the Castle of St John the Baptist is just across from the auditorium.
Auditorio de Tenerife
It was designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava in the expressionist style, and has been celebrated as the finest late-modernist building in the Canary Islands. It`s well worth a visit.
