Myself and my mate Gee Bee travelled over to Hamburg for a crazy weekend. Friday night was fun. Singing Karaoke and drinking beer and climbing the stairs to our room in a dump of a hotel.
The following morning we walked round to the train station and carried on with the beer.
The two of us hid in the back of the Senfbar and we jumped out and surprised my brother in law Alan . He said what are you bastards doing in here. Charming but funny. We all had a laugh and finished our beer.
We spent the next two days exploring Hamburg with him.
Every time I visit the Hauptbahnhof I remember that fun time.
Thanks to Eric for tipping us off they were heading there.

Hamburg's main station is the most frequented passenger railway station in Germany, and second only to Paris-Nord, even the second most frequented passenger railway station in Europe.
During World War2 the station was bombed.
A lot of it needed to be rebuilt completely. One of the clock towers was destroyed. From 1985 to 1991 the station was renovated.

2008, in an effort to disperse drug dealers and users from the area, Deutsche Bahn has been playing classical music (i.e. Vivaldi's Four Seasons).

We did return March 2024 on route to Berlin. After being at the Frisian Islands. Only time to grab a Mac Donalds on to the train.

June 2024 -We used the train station many times during the European championship trip. Still find it exciting.
