Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. --------------------
Travelling. It leaves you speechless, Then turns you into a storyteller.

I am looking at extending my wildlife adventures. Watch this website.
Regensburg I would put this as the highlight of our 2024 summer adventure. We had three days here and used it as a base for exploring the area. It is a city in eastern Bavaria on the banks of the river Danube.
A great Medieval city with a 2,000-year-old history. With World Heritage buildings. We stayed at Elaya Hotel in the City Center.
Regensburg Cathedral (German: Dom St. Peter or Regensburger Dom), also known as St. Peter's Cathedral
Catholic Church with its episcopal based in Regensburg.
River Danube
The locals meet up to check their social media.
Next to Regensburg Cathedral, the Stone Bridge is Regensburg's most famous landmark. Built in 1135. The Stone Bridge is considered a masterpiece of medieval architecture and is said to be the oldest preserved bridge in Germany. Reminds me of the Old bridge in Berwick upon Tweed. The bridge is now closed to traffic and has undergone extensive renovation to deal with the damage of centuries of traffic.
Despite repeated bombings in World War II, Regensburg sustained little damage, and most of the city’s medieval buildings survived
Wet wet wet on Wednesday night. Thunder and lightning.
Lightning in the sky around Ragensburg
Regensburger wurst is a German sausage originating from the city, where it was invented in the late 19th century.
Beautiful Skyline
Regensburg's train station is situated to the south of the old part of the city
We stayed five minutes walk from the station. We used it to get to Straubing for beer festival. All good Bavarian fun
